Native to Italy. Strong growing tree, height 10-15 m. Fairly broad, oval Crown. Leathery, glossy green leaves with heart-shaped base. Wind resistant tree that also tolerates lighter soils. Fairly resistant to sea wind. Park, avenue and street tree that are also good where there are paved areas.
