Pinus sylvestris, Scots pine, is a tall upright tree, 15-30 m, which is widely known from the pine forests. In the youth phase it has a pyramidal habit and laterly more erratic. Needles 2 together, slightly twisted, blue-green. Striking orange-brown bark that flakes off in coarse strips. Use as a solitary or for forestry.
